NEWAYGO, MI – Newaygo General public Schools will be shut Tuesday, Nov. 9, as a result of Monday, Nov. 15, because of to staffing shortages across the district.
Superintendent Jeff Wright informed MLive Tuesday the district could not remain open this week because there were being way too numerous college staff members out thanks to COVID-19, seasonal ailments and other individual motives. The district was pressured to cancel classes entirely instead of pivoting to digital instruction due to the fact of the deficiency of reliable web connectivity in Newaygo, which is largely rural, Wright advised MLive.
